1. What We Collect

When you open the App: We automatically create an anonymous account for you. We do not ask for your name, email, or any personal details to get started.

When you play: We save your scores, streaks, answer history, and how you perform across different categories. This is stored on your device and backed up to the cloud so you never lose your progress.

If you sign in with Google (optional): We receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. This lets you personalise your profile and restore your progress on a new device. You can sign out at any time.

If the App crashes: We automatically receive a crash report that helps us fix bugs. These reports include technical details about the crash and your device, but no personal information.

When you see ads: Our advertising partner, Google AdMob, may collect device and location information to show you relevant ads. See Section 5 for more details.

2. How We Use It

• To make the App work and keep your progress safe
• To sync your data across devices when you sign in with Google
• To verify your scores on our servers to keep the game fair
• To show you ads that support the free App
• To fix crashes and improve the App experience
• To send you helpful reminders and streak alerts (only if you allow notifications)

3. How We Keep Your Data Safe

Your data on your device is encrypted so that only the App can read it. When your data travels to our servers, it is protected in transit. Data stored in the cloud is encrypted by Google.

Your gameplay data is private — only you can see your own progress. We do not sell or share your data with anyone outside of the services described in this policy.

4. Notifications

If you give us permission, we may send you reminders to play, streak alerts, and weekly performance summaries. These notifications are created entirely on your device — we do not send push notifications from our servers.

You can turn off notifications at any time in your device's settings.

5. Services We Use

We rely on the following trusted services from Google to run the App:

• Firebase: Handles your account, saves your progress in the cloud, delivers app settings, collects crash reports, and hosts this website. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google AdMob: Shows ads in the App. AdMob may collect device information and general location to deliver relevant ads. Google Privacy Policy
• Google Play Services: Powers Google Sign-In, checks for app updates, and may prompt you to leave a review. Google Privacy Policy

6. Children's Privacy

FactSwipe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has used the App, please contact us and we will promptly delete any related data.

7. Deleting Your Data

You are in full control of your data:

• Go to Settings → Reset Progress in the App to permanently erase all your scores, streaks, and answer history from your device and our servers.
• If you signed in with Google, you can sign out to remove your name, email, and profile picture from the App.
• You can also contact us by email to request complete deletion of your account and data.

8. Your Choices

• Sign-in is optional. You can enjoy the full App without ever signing in with Google.
• Notifications are optional. You choose whether to receive reminders.
• Ad preferences. You can adjust ad personalisation in your device's Google settings.
• Your data, your call. You can erase everything at any time from the App's settings.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
